Terraria (PC)

UPDATE June 5th, 2022: tModLoader has been updated to support Terraria 1.4, but our mod has not yet… You will need to downgrade tmodloader to “1.3-legacy” in Steam for now, from Properties > BETAS. You can find more info here: https://github.com/tModLoader/tModLoader/wiki/tModLoader-guide-for-players

You can follow the general setup guide at https://crowdcontrol.live/setup for extra help with the Twitch Extension, the Crowd Control Desktop Client and other options.

We suggest using the One Click Setup to install the mod required for this game,. This can be found in the Crowd Control Desktop app, after selecting your game!

If you have any questions or need help with this setup, please head over to our discord, forum or email us for additional support!

Manual Setup

We recommend using the One Click Setup if you are new to modding with this game. If you want to apply the mod yourself, feel free to follow these steps.

Terraria CC relies on tModLoader to function. The easiest way to set it up is to run it straight from Steam, but they also support GOG and other manual setup methods. Check out their site for more info tModLoader guide for players · tModLoader/tModLoader Wiki · GitHub

Once you have tMod installed and started, click on Mod Browser and search for CrowdControl!

You’re able to install it right there, it automatically should be enabled as well!

If you are not able to find it by searching: Download the mod directly here and place it in the Mods folder. You may have to manually enable it with this method.

If you followed the steps above correctly when you launch the TMod application and click on Mods

  • You should then see the mod in your list, just make sure it’s enabled. It should look like below.
  • Now that the mod is enabled, go to your Crowd Control desktop software and hit Start!
    • You should see an in-game message when the game is connected. image

Crowd Control Mod Settings

Once in game, you may want to adjust some settings, and there are plenty to adjust!
For multi-player games each of these settings are specific to the player and only that player. For instance if one player has “Allow Time-Changing Effects During Bosses” enabled, then their chat could change the time. This setting is however disabled by default.

Crowd Control tMod Server!

Thanks to tMod, you can also setup our CC mod on a server, allowing multiplayer! Take a look at the setup here: Starting a modded server · tModLoader/tModLoader Wiki · GitHub
We won’t be able to fully support server setup, but if you have any questions, check out our discord and we can try to point you in the right direction.

For servers you’ll need the tMod file which can be found at Releases · MrG-bit/TerrariaCrowdControlMod · GitHub!

We recommend Digital Ocean for setting up your own server and you can use our referral code https://m.do.co/c/d7ca3af66320 to get started with $100 worth of free credit!
