Sonic Mania crowd control crash on startup

Hello. I was trying to get Crowd control working with sonic mania. The game itself I got to work fine, and the modloader is installed and seeing the crowd control mod. But when I enable it and start the game up, the game crashes, sometimes before even getting to the SEGA Logo.

Is there something going on with it? I am currently using the most up to date Steam Version of Sonic mania, and the crowd control app is up to date as well.

Sonic Mania must be launched with the ModLoader and with the Crowd Control session started in the desktop client. Otherwise it will crash as you are reporting.

Ah, I see what happened. I have started the modloader, THEN start the session, then hit play.

I hadn’t realized it was in that specific order. The session wasn’t started yet. Thank you!
