Streamers doing SMM chat mini games

Chat mini games are a fun way for viewers to interact with the streamer and the rest of the chat. Here’s a few SMM streamers I’m following that all got their own unique thing going where you as a viewer can play along.

In no specific order.

BlooRooster1

@BlooRooster1 has made his own SMB3 style overworld queue. Between levels he switch to this overworld scene where each level represents a viewer level. As a viewer you can make alliance with Team Bloo and help him complete all 8 worlds or Team Bowser and try to sabotage for him. You earn Blux (in-stream currency) that you can use for betting or to buy items in the toadhouses. The items all have different purposes, for example the frogsuit lets you skip (jump) the queue and the musicbox extends for how long he plays a level by 5 minutes.

The_Cliffy

100 Ways to Die. @The_Cliffy plays 100 man Mario and you are assigned random types of death, the amount depends on what tier you buy in for, you don’t want Mario to die to your type. The run ends when either Cliffy wins the 100 Mario challenge or loses all lives. If you have at least one death type remaining, you are paid out based on which tier you bought into. The in-stream currency is Biscuits and the neat bar at the top lets you keep track of all eliminated and remaining types.

SpaceKatUniverse

Super Space Party with @SpaceKatUniverse. Based off of the Nintendo Mario Party series, SpaceKat have created a fun and interactive way for viewers to play along with her and earn stars (in-stream currency). You pick a team which all represent different amount of tries (deaths) you think it will take SpaceKat to beat each level. For every level that is beat, that team wins a star, at the end of each round, which is about 45 minutes, stars are converted to Points and bets are reset. Levels played are viewer levels and 100 man.

Foxen45

@Foxen45 is mainly doing Bingo for 100 man super expert (no skip). At the start of each run you generate a tile and throughout the run you try to fill the squares all containing different scenarios. Enemy spam? Check. Cheese? Check. The winner usually get a level or song of their choice played.

GrandKeys

GrandyKart is a mini game played in @GrandKeys stream. He play as many viewer levels as he can in 45 minutes and you guess how many he can clear before the time runs out by choosing a racer. Each racer stands for a different amount of levels. You can bet on 1-6 levels. If Mario wins (7+ levels) everyone wins or if Bowser wins (0 levels) everyone loses. The in-stream currency is Keys.

I know @thedragonfeeney also got something going but unfortunately I haven’t had time to watch her stream yet, so maybe someone else can tell us more about that.

I encourage you to check out all these streamers, they’re amazing. If not, you’re missing out!

Have you played these games? How did you like it?

If you know someone that have their own chat mini game, or if you have one yourself, feel free to share!

I really like the 100 Ways to Die game, that is really super clever.

I’ve been contemplating trying to figure out a sort of betting system in regards to how many lives will be lost on a level.
I was thinking either like an over-under system where someone could bet say 50 currency that I’ll die more than X amount of times or 50 currency that I’ll die less than Y amount of times. I’d have to figure out the best way to distribute winnings though. For example, if I die 25 times, and someone bet I’d die more than 20 times and someone else bet I’d die more than 10, they’d both technically be right, but the person who said over 20 would be more right. Something I’d have to consider.
Anyone know if something like this is already a thing? I’d hate to have to do a tonnnn of work to find out someone already did it way easier! :jakucode:
